Perinatal mental health services are expanding its multi-disciplinary team to include a dynamic, self-motivated, forward thinking Business Administration Coordinator. The position will be within the Specialist Service line, Perinatal Services which include the Perinatal mental health community service, Thrive service and the Mother and Baby Unit (MBU). The main hub sites are located at Canterbury, Maidstone and Dartford and although this position will be based in Canterbury, there will be a requirement to regularly travel to alternative sites as required.

The position holder will be responsible for producing and issuing reports using the Business Intelligence system, auditing, processing clinical outcomes and reporting on KPIs (key performing indicators). Attending meetings, taking minutes at meetings, diary management, typing documents and using the patient record system (RiO). It will be the post holders responsibility to alert clinicians to any KPI non compliances.

The position holder will be required to support the Performance, Quality and Admin Manager for perinatal services as well as work closely with Project service managers and operational team leaders, providing data reports and compliance support as required.

A band 4 Administration Coordinator will supervise band 3 Administrators/band 2 Administrative Assistants and provide business performance support to one or more services. Posts at this level should have acquired at least intermediate level Excel skills working towards advanced skills and will be able to analyse databases and interpret data and information, identifying/investigating reasons behind statistics and potential solutions. The focus of these posts will be more on managing the provision of information on service activity and oversight of the local administrative service ensuring efficient and effective services are provided to meet the needs of the wider team. Scope will vary with each post depending on service needs but will include any combination of the tasks within the generic job description.
