Customs Compliance Coordinator

**The role**
**This job is for you if**:
- You have experience in customs compliance in a logistics environment.
- You are looking to work in an interesting and varied environment for a world class organisation.
- You have a Certificate in International Trade and Logistics Operations or a nationally recognised Customs Practitioner award or working towards a qualification.
- You have an excellent command of the English language.
**Who you’ll be working with**:
Reporting into the UK Logistics Manager, you will be working alongside the wider Logistics teams, Business and Service Line leaders, Commercial and Contracts teams, QHSSE teams, IT, Finance and Supply Chain teams. Externally you will be liaising with logistics providers, customs agents, HMRC and international customs authorities.
**Here’s what a typical week would be like**:
- Working to align and standardise logistics processes consistent with UK and global strategies.
- Ensure processes and procedures for logistics imports and exports are followed in line with company and customs authorities’ standards.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to assess customs compliance and where required identify improvements.
- Report on KPI’s for import export data entries noting any data errors and amending as required.
- Support and motivate the logistics teams across the UK, identifying where training needs.
- Monitor and reinforce general, legal compliance as well as meeting Fugro’s QHSSE standards and requirements.
**Who we’re looking for**:
- Experience working in logistics.
- A Certificate in International Trade and Logistics Operations or a national recognised Customs Practitioner award.
- Excellent command of English language, both verbal and written.
- Customs Compliance experience gained in logistics or freight forwarding environment.
- An individual driven to deliver results.
- Team orientated.
- Someone who has exceptional stakeholder management skills.
- Previous supervisory or team leading experience (optional).
- You strive towards improving processes.
