- YOUR ROLEThis role is primarily responsible for the management & maintenance of the freight booking, booking optimisation and customer collection/pickup/final mile delivery arrangement and onward forwarding requirements.- This is a Monday - Friday position, 9am - 6pm working 1 in every 4 Saturdays with the following Monday off.WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?- Manage and take responsibility for all customer bookings after acceptance/job creation.
- Act as internal & customer facing front end to all operational process on active shipment.
- To ensure pickup/delivery of the shipment at origin/destination you will instruct transportation requirements and expectations.
- Control, prepare and distribute all required import/export documents to counterparts (carrier, consignee, supplier, etc.) complying with regulations and internal procedure.
- Oversee shipment status, identify and ensure resolution of active shipment incidents.
- Maintain comprehensive operational records in line with company procedures, including but not limited to documentation, communication (bookings, instructions, notification/acceptance of additional charges, last minute ad-hoc service changes etc).
