**What We Are Looking For...**:
Reporting in to our Territory Leader, we are looking for someone to:

- Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the Retail strategy and business plan across the Market; lead by example River Island’s vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the area goals. Responsible for producing a twice-yearly plan for their market.
- Builds strong relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions. For example, digs deeply into customer feedback and drives the innovations that can enable River Island to better meet customers' future needs. Frequently adjusts approach to ensure customer needs are met and to improve service.
- Manage day-to-day operations across the Market to achieve operational sales performance goals. Execute a model store that is head and shoulders above the competition and exceeds customer expectations and delivers a strong customer experience to drive sales.
- Track budgets across the area and report variances to the Territory Leader
- Oversee an area of stores with guidance from the Territory Leader. Responsible for the development and delivery of effective operational procedures
- Implement Talking Talent and Performance across the whole of Retail. Provide others throughout the organization with informal coaching and mentoring. Provide informal coaching to teams across your Market, showing empathy and empowerment.
- Manage and report on store teams performance; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives.
- Analyze sales, data and product to identify and interpret business opportunities for the company, store, customer and market.
- Develop short
- or medium-term work schedules in order to achieve planned commitments.
- Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments. For example, measures and tracks team's and own performance, and helps the team learn from success, failure, and feedback. Adheres to, and enforces, goals, policies, and procedures.
- Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with River Island goals. For example, strengthens alignment and coordination between own work and others', providing well-sequenced activities and exact time frames. Foresees and resolves many potential bottlenecks and delays.
- Creates a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help River Island achieve its objectives. For example, shares insight into the purpose of the work, involves others appropriately and gives them credit for their contributions. Praises the successes of others.
- Knows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement. For example, uses metrics and benchmarks to monitor accuracy and quality. Promptly and effectively addresses process breakdowns.
- Develops and delivers communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. For example, tailor’s communication content and style to the needs of others. Pays attention to others' input and perspectives, asks questions, and summarizes to confirm understanding.
- Makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. For example, quickly determines the most critical data and focuses analysis there; recognizes even subtle symptoms that indicate problems; probes deeply for root causes; uses systematic problem-solving methods well.
- Consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances. For example, holds self to high standards of performance; sets some challenging goals; wants to achieve meaningful results; pursues initiatives/efforts to successful completion and closure. Focuses on key goals, even during setbacks and obstacles.
- Develops people to meet both their career goals and River Island’s goals. For example, shares own experience and expertise with others if asked. Provides constructive feedback and other support for other people's development
- Interprets and applies key financial indicators to make better business decisions. For example, gathers the financial data and metrics essential for the role; interprets quantitative and financial data accurately; seeks guidance, as appropriate.
