This role is a great opportunity to work in close consultation with the key stakeholders to implement, develop, maintain, and change BG Services and Solutions financial systems to ensure that they effectively and efficiently support the needs of the business unit finance community. This role which will require an experienced individual with the self-motivation to drive through financial process and system improvements.

**Location - Windsor or Stockport / Flexible Homeworking**

**The Role**
- To act as the main point of contact for BU related system queries and to liaise with DTS, service providers, Group finance systems team, and 3rd party vendors to ensure that systems are robust, efficient, and fit for purpose
- Support project/change teams to implement new, and update existing systems to ensure integrity of R2R processes
- To impact assess and advise on system changes necessary to facilitate new commercial propositions and projects
- Understand the business needs of Finance and provide systems solutions to support those needs, to support testing, verification and sign-off of system changes against business requirements
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, where necessary, including, but not limited to, sponsor department, internal and external auditors, and system developers in order to achieve these tasks
- To proactively analyse finance data across systems with a view to identifying errors and discrepancies, improving processes (manual and automated) and providing information to enhance strategic and operational decision making
- Review system performance and manage system issues through to resolution

**The Person**
- Formal accounting qualification ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Experience working in a finance systems environment
- An understanding of financial controls and embedding these into system changes/projects
- Strong analytical, numeric and critical reasoning skills capable of delivering practical solutions to complex problems
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to manage and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders
- Open and flexible to the changing demands of the organisation
- Able to work in a manner that is consistent with Centrica’s core behaviours and ethos, but challenges the _“way it has always been done before”_
