As Pathways to Work Advisor, you will deliver projects and activities that are designed to increase the demand for and the number, level, range and quality of apprenticeships and other work-related learning opportunities for young people in Norfolk.

You will work in the Norfolk County Council Childrens’ Services, ‘Pathways to Work’ team to provide a range of activities and interventions including face to face and online information and advice activities for young people in schools, colleges and other learning settings; providing support and advocacy for vulnerable young people to achieve a viable pathway to work; engaging and networking with employers and providers in order to develop opportunities for young people; providing briefings and Continuous Professional Development for teachers/advisers, parents/carers and other professionals; developing apprenticeship publicity materials for use in face to face delivery and through the Help You Choose website and a range of social media platforms.

In addition to the work described above, each individual adviser in the team takes a lead role on working with a specific cohort of young people. You will take the lead on working with young people who are educated in alternative provision to mainstream education settings, young people who are in and/or leaving care and young people who are part of the Youth Justice System.
