We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will be a key part of our Children's Education team, based at the QMC Hospital Campus at Nottingham Children's Hospitals as part of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS trust.

The administrator's role will include working alongside the education team. The role is part time and we will consider flexible hours.

Main duties of the job

In addition to the summary below you need to familiarise yourself with the full job description and person specification documents attached to this advert.

You will be required to undertake routine administration tasks. These will include answering the phone, printing written information, using different hospital systems and much more. As the education team administrator, you will prioritise your own workload and work with all members of our team.

You will require good communication skills (both written and verbal) as this role entails liaising with a wide range of individuals.

This is an excellent opportunity for a person with good administration skills and good computer literacy.

Previous NHS experience is desirable but not essential.

Nottingham Children’s Hospital is set within the vibrant city of Nottingham known for its many historical sites and lively music scene. The children’s hospital is housed within the Queens medical centre campus and has 116 inpatient beds across 8 inpatient wards covering all specialitys, with many of our specialitys being regional centres as well as two neonatal intensive care units one based at our City hospital campus.

This is a really exciting time to join NCH as we became the first Children’s Hospital in Europe to achieve ANCC pathway to excellence accreditation in 2020.

Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria
- GCSE level or equivalent standard of Maths/English

Desirable criteria
- RSA III word-processing/text processing or equivalent
- NVQ level 3 in administration or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
- Previous admin experience
- Experience in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point
- Demonstrate understanding of patient/client confidentiality

Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working in the NHS
