Our team of around 30 dietitians, technicians and assistants work in a variety of specialities across the children's hospital. This administrator's role will include working alongside dietitians and other staff supporting our patient pathways and discharges. In addition, you will contact patients to book appointments and you will support the department with administration tasks (such as; typing letters, answering the phone and printing educational material). You will benefit from an established team. The role is part time and we will consider flexible hours.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to undertake routine administration tasks. These will include answering the phone, printing written information, contacting patients to organize appointments and using the web hiss hospital system and Medway, dealing with queries from the wards and much more. As a dietetic team administrator, you will prioritise your own workload and work with all members of our team. You will also be required to cover some of the workload in the absence of the dietetic assistant.

You will require good communication skills (both written and verbal) as this role entails liaising with a wide range of individuals including patients and clinical staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for a person with good administration skills and good computer literacy. We offer enhanced training as part of your development.

Working for our organisation
