**Salary**: £28,000 - £35,000 (DOE)

This is an exciting time where you will be joining a new management team Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be a hands-on HR generalist with a collaborative approach to HR. You will be an effective communicator and influencer, having ideally worked in a manufacturing business. You can provide commercial HR solutions, can act as a business partner but also design and implement robust HR processes that can support the business develop.

**Job Summary**
- Main purpose of the role: As senior HR advisor you will have responsibility for providing business focused and best practice HR support to the Senior Leadership team (SLT) of the business. You will act as the key contact point for all HR matters and taking ownership of all employee relations. You will work closely with the Managing Director to ensure the site is provided with an effective and efficient advisory and administrative HR service to meet the business requirements.
- This is a full generalist role, within a manufacturing environment, requiring the development of excellent working relationships with management teams and to provide support on projects as required. You will take on a 'champion' role within the company and use this to drive best practice and share knowledge in this field.

**Specific Role Responsibilities**:

- Deliver HR induction programmes for new starters and ensure probation reviews are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist with development of functional teams and support succession planning as necessary
- Assist with surveying and bench marking of salaries against internal and external compactors.
- Manage recruitment and selection of staff, Assisting with the interview and selection process within the Functional Managers.
- Work closely with agencies to manage on-site staff as appropriate
- Maintain awareness of any issues relating to attrition and absence
- Make offers and issue Contracts of Employment
- Provide support and advice on employee relations, terms of employment, policies and procedures to managers and work with them to ensure that best practice is adopted
- Work with managers and line managers to ensure that all employment policies are applied in a consistent and non-discriminatory manner.
- Proactively recommending policy/procedural changes as necessary
- Advise on disciplinary, grievance and performance issues.
- Work closely with SLT to respond to requirements for management information including staff movements, recruitment rates, KPIs, talent and exit analysis.

**Experience & capabilities**:

- Involved in previous SEEX / BRC audits
- Proven experience in a senior HR Advisor Role
- Ability to demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of employment law
- Generalist HR skills
- Knowledge of HR systems
- Familiar with payroll processes
- Experienced in employee relation processes
- Awareness of GDPR in an HR context
- Advanced degree of absence management knowledge.
- CIPD Level 3+ Qualified - If not, it is expected to be part CIPD qualified or have the desire to study for the CIPD qualification
- SAGE 200 Payroll and ERP
- Have a proven ability to work to deadlines and work without supervision.
- Possess strong problem solving and facilitation skills
- Be an excellent communicator - written and verbal
- Have strong organisational, literacy and numeracy skills
- Have a proven ability in coaching and performance management
- Have strong influencing skills and the ability to challenge senior colleagues
- Have excellent IT skills including Excel, PowerPoint and SAGE or equivalent HR system.
