Playground Inspection

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Inspection& Maintenance Personto join our growing team at HAGS.
The role is to ensure that within the general geographical area the person will be responsible for the inspection and maintenance of all playground sites. Compliance with industry and safety requirements are crucial.
As well as inspecting playground equipment, the role will involve:
- Playground equipment repairs
- Playground equipment installation
- General maintenance works
- Groundwork
- Playground surfacing repairs
- Painting
- Carpentry /Joinery
- Fencing
The key responsibilities for the role the Inspection & Maintenance person are as follows:
- To provide regular operational inspections to check the function and stability of equipment, including examination for wear and tear plus structural integrity (training given)
- Ability to work under own initiative without supervision.
- Undertaking general maintenance, which involves metal, woodworking, painting, and groundwork.
- Take photographic evidence of completed works and send to office.
- Provide detailed information for any necessary work.
- Completing inspection reports in a timely manner, following an inspection.
- To conduct operational inspections, risk assessments as specified in BSEN1176.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensuring that the customer is made the priority in all circumstances.
- Build relationships with clients within your region.
- To provide regular liaison with different departments to ensure the smooth inspection and maintenance of all projects and contracts

**KEY COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS**
- Good fitting or assembly type skills, preferably in a maintenance environment as well welding experience is desirable
- A problem solver
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively, work unsupervised and to manage own diary
- Good customer service and communication skills-internal and external, both face to face and over the telephone
- Good reporting skills
- A team player with a helpful ‘can do’ attitude to your work
- A self-motivated individual who continually keeps abreast of industry and safety requirement changes
- Availability to travel around the area on a regular basis and occasional overnight stays may be required
- Full clean driving licence
- RPII Operational inspection accreditation is an advantage but training will be given
