**Support Worker**

Location: St Helens

**Salary**: £12-£15 an hour

£70 per sleep

Are you looking for a career that really makes a difference? If so, Prospero currently has an exciting opportunity for a support worker role to assist in the everyday care of children and young people with various emotional, behavioural and mental healthissues.

Essentials:

- Minimum 6 months experience working with children or young adults in a care or community setting
- This experience **MUST** be UK experience

Desirable:

- Enhanced Adult and Child DBS on the update service
- Childcare qualification
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Resilient and positive attitude
- Be compassionate and respectful yet have a strong personality to handle challenging behavior and provide stable support.

Working hours:

- Long days 8am till 11pm & sleep
- 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am
- Lots of overtime available

Duties will include:

- Assistance with everyday living (no personal care)
- Undertake key-worker responsibilities
- Manage challenging behaviour
- Promotion of education
- Providing excellent provision of Safe Care, Support and Individual Care of Young People's Health, Wellbeing and Development.
- Support individualised care plans
- Maintaining a safe and caring environment
