**Patient Care Advisor**

The Patient Care Team plays a crucial role in the smooth day to day running of the pharmacy. Your role will be based at the pharmacy in Dagenham East.

We endeavour to deliver an outstanding experience for our patients, and you will ensure every patient receives first-class patient care and services throughout their journey.

You will ensure the accurate and timely handling of all inbound prescriptions and sales of medications (compounded or prescription-only) to ensure patients and prescribers receive the right medications as fast as possible.

A professional and helpful style and attitude is always required as is maintaining patient confidentiality, including personal, medical, and financial information.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Answering inbound calls
- Cross checking available medications, processing orders and taking payments
- Handling customer complaints
- Following up on customer calls
- Making outbound calls
- Upselling and cross selling products
- Managing customer database
- Transcribing prescriptions
- Handle customer and doctor queries
- Any additional activities that may be required on an ad hoc basis.

**Essential & Desirable**
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle challenging situations inS a calm, positive, respectful, and courteous manner
- 2 years or more experience of working in a similar role
- Strong customer service skills
- Competent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy is desired but not essential
