  • Patient Education on Health Promotion and Disease Prevention
  • Collaboration with General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care

Job Duties

  • Facilitate patient choices by promoting health during routine screenings and assessments.
  • Utilize analytical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate clinical care packages that address complex physical, psychological, pharmacological, and social needs.
  • Collaborate with patients and other health and social care professionals to develop tailored care packages.
  • Perform clinical procedures with advanced physical skills while considering potential exposure to unpleasant conditions.
  • Administer medications in accordance with Patient Group Directives when appropriate.
  • Assist the clinical team by managing patient requests for appointments.
  • Review patient correspondence and document normal results as necessary.
  • Oversee the cold-chain process through regular audits.

Management Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and ongoing evaluation of policies and protocols in your area.
  • Assist in organizing recall systems for cytology and childhood immunizations.
  • Manage clinical supplies and equipment, including vaccines.
  • Actively participate in achieving targets within the Quality and Outcome Framework.
  • Monitor travel vaccine stock levels and maintain accurate records.

Communication Skills

  • Effectively communicate using various methods with patients and external organizations.
  • Convey complex information to patients and their families, adapting to diverse needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all consultations in line with practice and regulatory guidelines.
  • Uphold confidentiality at all times, sharing information only with authorized personnel.

Professional Development

  • Take responsibility for your professional growth by attending relevant meetings and training.
  • Contribute to a learning environment by mentoring new staff and learners.
