Delegated Authority Claims Technician

A widely respected Lloyd's Syndicate have a new opening for a Delegated Authority Claims Technician.
Responsibilities will include providing support to the claims team in the oversight and management of all Third Parties and appointed expert relationships. Also assisting the claims team with some general operational oversight and reporting of the claims function.
Third Party Framework (70%) Responsibility for the oversight and management of the framework governing third parties (Delegated Claims Administrators and experts) used by the Claims team.
This will include:
1. Expert Management Database
- Managing the completeness and accuracy of the content of the Expert Management database; and
- Corroborating and maintaining the Risk Matrix against Third Parties to whom claims authority is delegated (DCAs and Cover holders).
2. Agreements
- Report on whether appropriate agreements are in place with all third parties used by the Claims team; andWhere agreements are not present or appropriate, assist in the (re)-issuance of documents.
3. Bordereaux Claims Data and Service Level Agreements.
- Assist with monitoring the adequacy and accuracy of bordereaux produced by Third Parties, for both claims data and SLA's.
- Assist with monitoring and managing SLA performance of Third Parties, withfeedback to Claims Team on a regular basis.
4. Due Diligence and Renewal
- Assisting the initial due diligence and renewal process for third parties used by the Claims team.
- Assisting the identification of those third parties where renewal documentation is required to be provided and ensuring thatthey are obtained.
5. Audits
- Assist in the coordination of audits of cover holders and DCAs in accordance with the stipulated time frame.
- Maintain the audit database with details of completed and scheduled audits.
- Ensure that there is evidence of follow up.
6. Loss Funds
- Assist in the management and oversight of loss funds.
Operations (30%) 1. Support the claims operation and seek to develop "best practice" within the Claims Team.
2. Support the maintenance and development of the Claims process, and all technology that supports it.
3. Present appropriate management information at the relevant claims meeting i.e. monthly third party meeting and weekly claims meeting.
4. Assist with other management reports for internal and external purposes, as required.
