Claims Team Leader

We’re looking for a colleague centric Team Leader for our Claims Notification/FNOL department. Your team are a primary contact for a wide variety of customers dealing with their motor insurance claim. They will take ownership of the claim and be expected to provide a seamless and memorable experience for our customers.
Your role is to lead, motivate and inspire your team to be accountable and drive performance against their individual and team objectives. We’re looking for you to create an environment where colleagues are engaged and can thrive delivering high performance.
We’re flexible in terms of location too You can be based at either our Leicester or Bexhill offices (on a hybrid basis), or for the right colleague, we’re able to offer this role as homeworking.
What will you be doing?- Developing a high performance culture within your team and unlock the full potential of our colleagues by identifying and arranging learning and development, coaching, feedback and have overall support.- Inspiring your team to achieve operational objectives and improve overall engagement- Driving efficiency through managing productivity, costs and increasing value added activity- Ensuring all colleagues are supporting with regular 121s, personal development plans and have the understanding of how to develop- Demonstrating a continuous improvement mind-set with effective problem solving- Embedding the reserving philosophy within your team, helping them to understand the importance and the impact of accurate reserving- Following relevant processes for underperformance, behaviours and absence- Identifying, logging and supporting customers who may be complaining and help develop colleagues to feel confident to do the same- Celebrating success and create a ‘winning’ environment with your team, rewarding and recognising colleagues for the great work they do- Building relationships with key stakeholders to support you in exceeding your own objectives
What are we looking for?- Proven background in team management (Claims experience a bonus)- Good understanding of motivation and what makes a high performing team- Able to gain the most out of your colleagues- Great stakeholder awareness and management with a good operational understanding- Able to interpret and analyse MI and identify areas for improvement- Background in successfully coaching and supporting colleagues- Examples of encouraging development and consistent performance
