Based in Hull, Hamburg Road Ambulance Station working across 2 locations (Hamburg Road & Sutton Field station); to prepare and Deep clean Front line Ambulance Vehicles in line with the Ambulance Vehicle Preparation (AVP) requirements.

This role will also require you travel to throughout Yorkshire as and when required to other Ambulance Stations during your shift (transport provided)

Unsociable out of hours payment is provided for this role. Extra 41% for hours between 20:00 and 07:00 & Sundays 83% for all hours worked within these times.

Our training package includes Level 2 Apprenticeship and access to Level 2 NCFE.

**Duties to include**:
Ambulance Vehicle Preparation Operatives Process Ambulance Service Vehicles in a prescribed and controlled way that ensures each ambulance is fully equipped and prepared to attend and treat a patient. The role is a key operational support function, which ensures patient safety whilst supporting Operations in meeting its targets. Main duties include detailed cleaning and Infection Prevention and Control activities, checking and inspecting medical and lifting & handling equipment, restocking all consumables, and completing vehicle checks. Other duties include the preparation of consumables, stock control, re-fuelling and moving vehicles across various locations, recording all daily activities and the repatriation of equipment from Hospital Trusts.

Cross site location working maybe required within your daily/weekly activities for which use of transport will be provided during your working times.

No experience is required as full training will be given. An initial 4-week Training package forms part of your Learning and Development.

The working days and times are dependent upon current provision required to meet operational/patient demand and this can include Bank Holidays, weekends, and nights, preparing our frontline operational vehicles and maintaining our provision on a 24-hour basis. A significant percentage of our Ambulance Vehicle Preparation is completed overnight. However, night and weekend working does attract unsocial payments which could mean pay increasing to approximately £28K per annum depending on shift patterns.

Holiday entitlement is between 27 days and 33 days (pro-rata) depending on length of NHS service plus bank holidays on a pro-rata basis.

You must be reliable and conscientious with a good eye for detail and be able to work individually and as part of a small team.
