THE ROLE

As Black Kite Studios’ Colour Producer, you are responsible for delivering production excellence across all colour grading projects. You will build upon the incredible success and momentum of the Colour team so far and will bring new work and sales opportunities.

You have a strong working knowledge of the VFX & Colour Grading industry generally, as well as a broad range of existing client relationships. You will further raise the profile of our exceptional Colour Grading team and help to build new and lasting client and director relationships. You will seek out and drive remote colour grading opportunities within other markets, including Europe, the US and Asia. You will work with the team to ensure that our existing relationships are strong and are always nurtured.

Your extensive experience of the production process will enable you to support the Colour team, develop workflows and best practice as well as being able to offer support to the wider studio artists, technology and technical operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Building new relationships to further both the creative and commercial success of the Black Kite Colour team
- Management and development of all existing Colour client relationships
- Scheduling of all colour projects and bookings, working with the wider Production team to problem solve as needed
- Work with the Colour team to establish best practice workflows and processes for all colour grading projects
- Communicate with Colourists prior to each job, ensuring they are fully informed with all necessary details, including director, DOP, Production Company, Agency, plus any other relevant information
- Work with the VFX production team to ensure use of the correct colour/VFX pipeline for each project
- Manage the Colour Assist Team ensuring there's consistent cover across the department
- Ensure all sessions are adequately prepared for, using the Colour assist team to support as needed;
- Be on hand for any changes/updates/issues throughout bookings.
- Talent spotting and development - keeping an eye on emerging Colour Talent as well as emerging directors / film-makers.
