**About the job**
To contribute to the establishment, development and embedding of the new GLA Group Public Health function, which fulfils the Mayor’s commitment to strengthen the GLA Group’s capacity on public health.
To provide a full range of high-level secretarial and administrative support services and business support for the team of four Public Health Consultants and to the senior management - the Public Health Programme Manager, and the GLA Group Director of PublicHealth and Deputy Statutory Health Advisor to the Mayor - which are responsive to their needs and which contribute to making their roles effective.
**Key responsibilities**
- Provide a central point of contact for the team, dealing efficiently and effectively with high level enquiries, diary management, scheduling, minute taking - liaising with Deputy Mayors, advisers and senior managers to support the GLA Group Director ofPublic Health and the smooth running of the business of the team.
- Provide a secretariat function for the multi-organisation GLA Group Public Health Forum and other key meetings.
- Provide a comprehensive range of high level secretarial, diary/Outlook calendar management, business and administrative support to the Public Health Programme Manager and to the GLA Group Director of Public Health/Deputy Statutory Health Advisor to theMayor and general business support (e.g. on business and project planning, budget and performance monitoring and associated reporting) for the wider team of public health consultants/registrars and policy and strategy officers.
**Skills, knowledge, and experience**
- Experience of delivering an administrative support service, including busy diary management, to senior staff in a high-profile organisation or relevant transferable skills.
