**An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Customer Services Assistant to join this exciting and fast modernising business based in Royston, Hertfordshire.**

**Hours: 9am to 5.30pm**

**Salary**
- £25,000 - £27,000 depending on experience

**The Company**

A successful company that has been in business for over 50 years supplying tableware and catering equipment to restaurants, hotels and other types of food service establishments.

The main office is set in the heart of Royston, Hertfordshire.** It is 3 minutes walking from the train station** **and **5 minutes walking from the main high street**. The business has also recently expanded its offices by investing in a new showroom based in a prime central London location (Islington).

This is an excellent chance to develop and learn in a business that is constantly and rapidly modernising to remain at the forefront of its industry.

**The Role**

As a Senior Customer Services Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the efforts of the sales manager with a variety of administrative duties in. This will include:

- Supervising the customer services team
- Making improvements for the customer journey and the sales process
- Being Responsible for customer retention targets
- Managing and setting up new customers efficiently and with accurate information
- Communicating effectively with the team and customers, solving issues independently
- Working with a high level of product knowledge
- Giving customer advice based on prior learning around requirements and budgets
- Building new business opportunities, actively seeking and growing sales
- Working to excel in providing an excellent, consistent customer service

**This is a key role working as part of a team of 2 people in the division and overall as part of a team of 14 people in the business.**

**About You**

They have great communication skills and will be able to utilise those skills to work more effectively with customers and within their team.

They are used to working as part of a team but are equally comfortable being responsible for their own work which gets measured against objectives and targets.

**Key Skills Required**:

- Excellent customer service and understanding of B2B
- Intermediate level of general IT Systems such as MS Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent organisation and planning skills, with outstanding attention to detail
- Ideally, experience of managing others and overseeing a team
