Internal Technical Sales Representative

**Internal Technical Sales Duties**:
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance, product education, promote compatible products services and after sales support.
- Maintain a good knowledge of new and existing products and technical specifications.
- Keep customers fully informed and updated on availability of product, pricing and appropriate discounts and delivery timelines.
- Maintain and develop customer relationships and where lead times do not match customer requirements investigate alternative parts to meet customer demands.
- Research options of all Franchise suppliers and sourcing of non-franchise products.
- Managing and interpreting customer requirements, promoting and advising on additional associated products on incoming sales enquiries.
- Negotiate prices, type of product; thereby maximising margin achieved on the transaction.
- Follow company Health and Safety policies and protocols.
- Update internal CRMs with all communication and sales as outlined by the company.
- Maintain a good knowledge of new and existing products and technical specifications.
- Other duties as requested by the Manager.
**Internal Technical Sales Representative Requirements**:
- Must have worked in a similar position, ideally in an Electrical Engineering technical role or electrical distribution, with a customer focus background would be advantageous.
- A qualification to at least ONC level in Electrical Engineering would be desirable.
- Required GSCEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Strong communication both written and verbal, able to build relationships, understanding of working in fast paced environments with the ability to prioritise and adapt to change, whilst able to understand process or continuous improvement.
- Due to a significant amount of data entry a high attention to detail is a must for this role.
- Team player, hands on approach with a positive attitude to learning and can work collaboratively.
