**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
This role will be part of the UK Sales Team reporting to the Business Intelligence Team Manager. A Data Analyst scrutinises

sales, supply, and customer information using data analysis tools. The insights derived from the raw data helps the Organisational Leadership, Product Management Teams and UK and International Sales Team make important decisions by identifying various facts and trends. The Data Analyst will perform analyses and run various mathematical calculations to determine how the insights might best be applied to understand trends, drive sales and profit opportunities for the business.

This role will support the Commercial Director, Product Management team as well as the wider Sales team both in the UK and Internationally. It will also work closely with Sales Systems, IT & DS continually improving the tools that the business uses. From time to time there will be direct customer contact, normally with another member of the Sales Team to enhance understanding. This may entail review of product ordering cycles and consumption leading to assisting in providing sales demand signals for procurement/manufacturing/supply chain.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Mining and analysing large datasets, using advanced computerised models to extract the data needed
- Drawing valid inferences and presenting them successfully to management using reporting tools
- Providing sector and competitor benchmarking
- Producing and tracking key performance indicators
- Manipulating, analysing, and interpreting complex data sets relating to the business
- Creating data dashboards, graphs, and visualisations
- Preparing reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools
- Setting up and maintaining automated data processes
- Developing and supporting reporting processes
- Developing records management processes and policies
- Identifying areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes
- Identifying, evaluating, and implementing external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing
- Fully understanding data content
- Monitoring and auditing data quality
- Gathering, understanding, and documenting detailed business possibilities using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Identifying new and exciting software which will enhance the data science and insights.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Good presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Familiarity of working with databases and able to use large scale data
- Excellent IT skills, including an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to analyse data and build compelling customer solutions
- Knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques
- Familiarity with other relational databases (e.g. MS Access)
- Experience of statistical methodologies and data analysis technique
- Graduate or equivalent technical experience
- Strong Analytical background through business or education
- Experience working with datasets and modelling through business or academic projects
- Good problem solver
- Able to influence and understand complex customer strategies and interpret them for Numatic to be successful

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
