**Role title**:Communications Coordinator

**Main work base**:Connect Four, 1 Waterfront Avenue and home-working

**Team**:Communications & Digital

**Reporting to**:Communications & Digital Manager

**The role**

**Role purpose**
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for delivering communications with the support and
supervision of the Communications & Digital Manager, to ensure People Know How continues to
deliver the most productive and impactful difference to communities aligned to the strategic vision,
mission and values.

**Key responsibilities**
- Working within People Know How’s brand guidelines and Communications & Digital Strategy

to ensure consistency across communications
- Creating news pieces and case studies for publication on our website
- Writing and distributing press releases to our networks and the media
- Photographing events and services to document our work, provide content for social media
- and publications and contributing to the growth of our image library- Writing content for our social media channels to showcase our work, recruit team members,
- engage with our network and raise awareness of the charity- Supporting campaigns across our channels to promote, showcase, recruit and/or achieve
- wider strategic aims- Formatting documents and presentations in keeping with our branding templates
- Completing research around new printed materials or communications systems to address

internal and external communications needs

- Liaising with external suppliers and printers to identify the best quotes for printed materials
- Supporting the delivery of our events both in person and online to continue to collaborate

across sectors and achieve our mission, vision and values

- Collaborating with the Communications & Digital team and attending regular team meetings
- Working with the wider People Know How team to produce case studies and understand
- their communications needs- Carrying out any other similar and appropriate duties as required by your line manager or by

People Know How

**Person specification: essential**
- Experience in communications, marketing, PR or relevant field
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to write and edit content
- for a range of audiences- Strong presentation skills
- Organisational and administrative skills
- Creative with the ability to share ideas and work collaboratively
- Able to plan, manage and prioritise workload while communicating with line manager
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Knowledge of Office 365

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English or similar
- Relevant CPD in communications or marketing
- Photography experience
- Photo or video editing experience
