Butler Rose is pleased to be supporting a leading regulatory organisation with the recruitment of a Director of Trust & Ethics. The main purpose of this leadership role will be to maintain and produce thought leadership and policy work on the strategic themeto strengthen the trust in the accountancy profession.

Some of the core duties will include:

- To assist the business in achieving its strategic theme of enhancing trust in the profession, develop and oversee a high calibre workstream on challenges linked to trust in business and the profession, such as fraud, ethical considerations, economic crime,and anti-money laundering.
- Build and nurture excellent stakeholder relations, both within and outside the organisation, to ensure that their influence on matters relating to trust in business and the profession is extended.
- To improve the organisation's reputation on issues connected to trust, fraud, and economic crime, establish a strong media presence through meaningful and effective content and professional media and stakeholder engagement.
- Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs.

The postholder will be part of the Senior Management Team and will be expected to contribute in a collaborative way to the deliver the strategic plan and objectives.

Person Spec
- Chartered Accountant or Lawyer professional qualification.
- Experience of dealing with matters relating to trust in business and / or the accountancy profession, fraud and economic crime at a suitably high level.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrable project management skills, with the ability to devise, develop, direct and deliver high quality content, and policy work which advances discussion, debate and provides strong tangible improvements on trust in the profession.
- Engaging media performer, with the ability to advance reputation and profile through pro-active participation in print, social media and broadcasting opportunities.
