An exciting opportunity have arisen within the Medical Staffing Team for the role of Medical Workforce Coordinator (Band 6) on a fixed term basis.

You should have excellent organisational skills with the ability to work of your own initiative and think calmly and logically under pressure. You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a positive attitude to maintaining high standards at all times. Experience of working in a busy office environment and using management information systems would be beneficial.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone wishing to increase their knowledge of medical staffing across the organisation, and gain a greater understanding of medical rostering, processes and systems.

37.5 Hours per week

The Medical Workforce Co-ordinator will support the needs and requirements of managers and clinicians within the directorates with regards to several key medical workforce functions, including medical job planning, recruitment, projects and policies. Primarily, the role will be responsible for supporting the Medical Workforce Manager to proactively manage and administer the medical workforce agenda.

The role will work closely with the Medical Staffing Co-ordinator to ensure that staffing and workforce issues within the team are managed effectively and in unison.

The post holder will also deputise for the Medical Workforce Manager as needed, including the cover of line management responsibilities in their absence.
