**About the role**:
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be ensuring the safety and well being of the individual's throughout the night by conducting regular checks whilst they sleep. There will be another member of staff on a sleep in shift should you need to respond to emergency.

This service is home to 5 gentlemen, ages range from 21 to 65. There are a variety of support needs including PEG, Epilepsy, wheelchair and hoist use as well as personal care.

As well as helping the people we support to sleep well, as a Waking Night Support Worker, you will support the rest of the team by completing various practical duties. This can be tasks that often may be impractical or difficult to complete during busier times of day.

**Hours**:
There are 2 positions available.

Part time
- 30 hours

Full time 39 hours.

Shift hours: 9:15pm - 7:15am

**Location**:
This service is located in Chatham. It has free parking and is close to all public transport.

**About you**:
For this role you will need to be empathetic, resilient, and deeply committed to assisting the people we support.

You do not need to have experience for this role as you will be provided with full training and induction. There is no lone working, therefore someone will always be on hand to support you further in your new role.

- Have genuine empathy for the people we support, with the positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through difficult times.
- Enjoy teamwork and take pride in getting a job done well alongside your colleagues.
- Have excellent face to face communication skills and a good standard of literacy.
- Have good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload.

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 39 per week
