**Job Title**:Personal Assistant

**Pay**: £15.67 per hour

**Working Pattern**: Working Pattern: 22.5 - 37.5 hours, Mon - Fri (3, 4 or 5 days), 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm

**Location**:Kent & Canterbury Hospital, Canterbury, CT1 3NG OR William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, TN24 0LZ (Will need to do the first week at Kent & Canterbury Hospital)

**About the Trust**

We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 695,000 people. We also provide some specialist services for a wider population, including renal services in Medway and Maidstone and a cardiac service for all of Kent based at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Acting as a point of contact for enquiries and complaints within the department, dealing with them accordingly and in line with trust policies
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of their manager, colleagues or members of their professional team.
- Collecting, sorting and prioritising incoming mail, messages and other information. To provide professional and timely communication links between the Directors, other care groups, executives and clinical staff to ensure channels of communication are efficient and effective at all times.
- Conducting team meetings and informal consultation to staff on work objectives, changes and dissemination of all relevant information to departments, external and internal users (e.g., dissemination of minutes, memos) and obtain feedback.
- Managing the diaries of the Care Group Directors, ensuring smooth and efficient running of day-to-day meetings and preventing diary clashes and managing regular and reoccurring meetings as required.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous experience in a Personal Assistant Role
- Minute taking experience
- Diary management skills and knowledge
- NHS experience (desirable)
- NHS System Knowledge
- This role may require you to show evidence of education to Degree level or at least 2 years relevant experience._
