**Programme Administrator - £15.81ph plus Hol Pay - South West London**

**Start ASAP for three months initially**

For the first month, this role will be office based for training, moving to hybrid - 3 days in the office 2 days from home thereafter.

**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a service and solution focused Programme Administrator to provide excellent customer service to students and other internal and external stakeholders. The post holder will ensure academic programmes are administered in line with the Academic Regulations and that all relevant activities are completed in line with University processes and within required deadlines.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Administer academic programmes with a consistent and robust approach whilst adhering to University Academic Regulations and processes.
- Provide excellent customer service, handling enquiries relating to academic programmes, maintaining a sound knowledge of the Academic Regulations and offering advice and guidance to staff and students.
- Support validation processes for new or existing programmes and ongoing robust management of programmes by working closely with university central services such as Registry, Timetabling and the Academic office.
- An understanding of the academic regulations and to follow University policies and procedures.
- Take an active role in all aspects of the student administration experience including pre-registration, enrolment and induction activities, attendance monitoring, assessment and retention activities.
- Co-ordinate programme assessment including producing the assessment calendar, submissions, production of grade sheets and servicing Assessment Boards.
- Liaison with academic colleagues and key stakeholders (external examiners, collaborative partners, etc).
- Organise and service Assessment Boards and Academic School meetings as required including all related administration activities.
- Gather and disseminate information as requested by Managers and Academic colleagues.
- Volunteer at University Open Days and Graduation Ceremonies.
- Undertake all required administration and co-ordination activities associated with the role.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- A “can do” solutions focused approach with a service mindset.
- Previous experience of University course administration, to include admissions and timetabling.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and able to communicate in a clear, accurate, and professional manner, both verbally and in writing to a range of stakeholders.
- Flexible and adaptable with an eye for detail will also be essential as would being able to manage conflicting requirements and prioritising your own work effectively.
- Service and solution focused.
- Be proficient in the use of Excel to manage complex spreadsheets and data.
- Numeracy skills to be able to manage spreadsheets, formulas, and procurement.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and manage data accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to cope with conflicting demands and prioritise their own work effectively.
- Use initiative and work independently, being a self-starter and positively influencing others through a proactive solution focused approach.
- Have the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of customers accessing services.
- Working in a University or Service environment.
- Part of a broader team delivering service and support to a range of stakeholders and customers.
- Be able to communicate in a clear, accurate and professional manner, both verbally and in writing, to a range of internal and external stakeholders.

**Salary**: £15.81 per hour
