**The base**

**The team**
The People & Culture team is responsible for ensuring that Schroders maximises the return on its investment in people and does this through the development and implementation of policies and practices that attract, reward, and retain high quality employees, to achieve business objectives in line with our values and strategic goals.

**Who we're looking for**
As Benefits Specialist you will be responsible for the management and operational delivery of our benefits programme, policies, and practices. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our benefits programmes remain competitive, fit for purpose, and continue to meet the needs of our people - ensuring we remain an employer of choice.

You will partner with external vendors on renewals, monitoring performance and ensuring the best level of service is being provided.

You will partner with business leaders and the wider People and Culture team across the globe, to support the deployment of our global benefits strategy and in doing so, you will build up a healthy understanding of our global benefits offering - ensuring our benefits continue to meet legislative requirements, benchmark favourably and align with our People and Culture priorities.
The right person for this role must have a key understanding of the Benefits space and will be able to bring that knowledge with them to support projects, queries, and more. This role has a healthy mix of business-as-usual duties as well as working on a variety of approved projects related to the benefits to achieve the business’s desired outcomes. A key focus for the role will be to identify and implement process efficiencies and reduce queries.

**What you'll do**
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the UK programme ensuring the quality and protection of data, operating procedures and controls are appropriate for all arrangements (monitoring third party administrators as required);
- Administration of Electric Care Scheme including national minimum wage checks;
- Ensure benefit arrangements are in line with legislation and operate in accordance with best practice, working with actuaries, lawyers, auditors, HMRC and other external professional advisors, monitoring new legislation and/or market trends and ensuring the Company responds appropriately;
- Benchmark and evaluate existing benefits offerings based on industry trends, innovation, and employee feedback. Recommend improvements and/or cast savings, as well evaluate possible changes to benefit providers;
- Co-ordination of annual benefits review, recommending additions, revisions and/or deletion of benefit plans; participate in negotiation of renewals and new contract agreements within appropriate timescales;
- Review, identify and implement opportunities to improve the resilience and efficiency of processes and to identify and manage the associated risks;
- Responsible for the implementation of Global Benefits inventory and framework for best practice and identify opportunities for globalisation;
