**Job overview**:
We are currently looking for a friendly and adaptable Hospital Administrator to join the Administration Team at St Mary's Hospital on the Isles of Scilly.

The post is part-time, working 32 hours per week over a 7-day service. A uniform is provided. Flexibility to work additional hours to meet service need would be an advantage.

You will need to be extremely organised and pay close attention to detail and be able to deal with changing work environments and priorities. Having the ability to learn new processes and procedures quickly is essential.

The primary duty of the postholder will be to work on main reception liaising with patients and working with other areas such as the inpatient ward, minor injury unit and outpatients

Previous experience of working in a patient or client-focused environment will be an advantage, as will experience of working in a busy reception.

Training and support will be given to the successful applicant.

**Main duties of the job**:
To provide full clerical and administrative support to the ward and clinical team as well as covering reception for the hospital. To be the first point of contact for all patients, visitors and members of the public attending the hospital and ensure they are fully assisted as required.
