Minute Media is a leading global sports content and technology company. We create authentic stories from diverse perspectives across our portfolio of content brands, which include The Players' Tribune, 90min, FanSided, DBLTAP, Mental Floss and The Big Lead.
We are looking for an experienced leader to join us as the **Head of Sales, UK & EU**. This role will lead the commercial team (based in London) to help deliver our continued growth as a business, working with global brands and agencies. We need a self-motivated professional with proven managerial experience and an outstanding track record in media sales. Responsible for managing and motivating the UK & EU Sales Team and meeting our annual sales targets within assigned regions and accounts.
**What you'll do**
- Hit/surpass the UK & EU Sales Target.
- Develop, track and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives for all members of the Sales Team
- Tap into existing networks to accelerate Minute Media’s Sales in the UK & EU.
- Work with global advertisers and agencies to secure new long-term investments and cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow customer loyalty.
**Other Relevant Responsibilities**:
- Pioneer the creation and implementation of the direct media sales strategy and align it with the company's vision and growth targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as Creative Solutions, Marketing and Ad Operations to craft go-to-market strategies that cater to advertisers needs.
- Harness market trends, industry insights, and competitive analysis to discover new opportunities and grow Minute Media’s competitive edge.
- Assess costs, competition, and supply and demand to identify selling prices.
- Over time, build, motivate and manage a high-performing media sales team, including hiring, mentoring, and setting clear goals and expectations.
- Evangelise and educate prospective partners of MM (and its brands) via industry events and PR initiatives.
**Requirements**:
**What you'll have**
- A robust track record of surpassing sales targets and establishing successful media partnerships.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques (media, branded content & sponsorship) and best practices.
- An innovative mindset and the ability to devise novel solutions for advertisers.
- Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
- Experience in creating trading deals with agencies and clients.
- Ability to attend our London-based office three times a week.
