We are looking for a content expert to join us to continue growing and expanding our network. This is a senior and strategic role within GDM to drive and manage the growth of our websites through first-class content, managing the content teams and developing and overseeing an integrated content strategy that encompasses SEO, customer engagement and editorial governance. While, ensuring that all content across the business is integrated and aligned to support business objectives.

**Role Overview**

**Leadership**:

- Develop and optimise the content teams, across editorial, social and growth
- Lead and inspire the development of first-class content by the content teams along with other production means inclusive of videos, infographics, blogs and animation, ensuring optimal delivery of content to target audiences
- Manage editorial budgets across the sites in coordination with site editors and Head of Finance
- Set performance targets and measure via the reporting of data and results with senior management
- Develop and hone editorial processes which maximise efficiency, innovation and learnings across the network
- Act as a mentor to content team personnel, ensuring a steady, gradual improvement in their professional skills through both structured meetings/reviews & ad-hoc communication and ensure we attract and retain the best talent

**Strategy**:

- Work with the Growth Manager to deliver clear growth plans and roadmaps via SEO and SEO practices and innovation, similarly with the Head of Social to deliver best in class social which meets our business objectives
- Develop and implement a vision on how to grow engagement from consumers across each site, improving frequency of visits, sessions per user and PPVs
- Identify new avenues of growth for the network and create business models which support investment including ecommerce planning and development in partnership with our ecommerce team
- Develop and manage content strategies for each site, identifying audience, unique positioning, TOV, commercial opportunities and a roadmap of tools and services
- Working through the EICs and Growth Manager to ensure best SEO practice and planning is in place for all content
- Ensure innovation is at the heart of what we do, identifying new practices, processes, tools and services which optimise our content teams towards success

**Content**:

- Develop and maintain a GDM playbook, ensuring communication of the best editorial processes and workflow from idea to implementation and beyond
- Understand customer journeys to optimise customer experience to create the highest value to GDM
- Lead thinking on design from a content and customer perspective at site level and feed back to technical team
- Feed into the development of the on-site & social video strategy in liaison with the head of social
- Represent the content team in the development of our in-house CMS by inputting into the roadmap and ensuring editorial excellence is built in
- Strive to raise awareness and visibility & prestige of GDM sites in the public domain to brands, clients & PRs

**As our Head of Content you are**:

- A Deputy or Head of Content in the entertainment or gaming digital publishing sector
- Able to demonstrate examples of accelerated growth within an online publishing environment and a gravitas that will take people on the journey
- Strategic and thoughtful leader, able to digest complex data and make key decisions quickly
