As Substance Misuse Services Lead in the North West, you will play an integral role in developing the operational, strategic, and service delivery elements of Clinical Substance Misuse Services across the Spectrum North West clusters, reporting to the Associate Director of Operations. The role profile will include specific responsibility to provide high quality management and visible leadership across Substance Misuse pathways and service delivery, linking into and enabling the achievement of strategic and contractual objectives. The role will involve extensive collaboration with the Head of Drug and Alcohol Services (Recovery) in the North West. The role will ensure integration of services and reporting, and management of risk, working closely with the Heads of Healthcare.

The post holder will lead, support, and effectively implement change management initiatives and projects across SMS to improve patient outcomes through collaboration and joint working with key stakeholders and partners. Involvement in business case and tender submission will be expected, relevant to role.
- Work with others to ensure implementation of a successful rolling programme of service-based support, supervision, consistency, development and improvement across the teams.
- Work in partnership with North East Regional Substance Misuse Lead to develop collaborative Spectrum wide policies
- Lead the delivery of care models working with the medical, pharmacy and nursing leaders to implement the agreed service models.
