The patient safety specialist is a key patient safety expertin North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. They provide dynamic, senior leadership, visibility and expert support to the patient safety workin the Trusts. They support the a patient safety culture andsafety systems, engaging with staff at all levels, working across the networks sharing good practice and learn from each other.

An integral part of the the Nursing, Patient Safety and Quality team, undertaking thematic analysis of incidents and promoting in the reporting and management of investigations the Trusts Just Culture.

Leading on the development of the structure and processes as Trust moves forward to deliver the national changes in patient safety management and reporting, ensuring the Trusts Incident reporting system is effective.
