This fixed-term maternity post is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and innovative Psychology Team within three multidisciplinary Bariatric Services. The post-holder would also be based within a diverse Medical Psychology Team, working within an acute setting across many clinical specialties. This provides excellent additional opportunities, including peer support, supervision and CPD alongside psychology colleagues.

**The successful post-holder will**:

- Offer specialist assessment and evidence-based, psychologically-informed support
- Work to provide a high quality, compassionate and trauma-informed service to all individuals on the bariatric pathway
- Contribute to the evaluation and further development of pre
- and post-operative support resources
- Implement a range of specialist psychological approaches for individuals, adjusting and refining psychological formulations as required
- Undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual patients and provide specialist advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management
- Provide psychological consultation to the wider MDT, alongside training and psycho-education as required
- Engage collaboratively with colleagues in service evaluation, audit and research opportunities, aimed at improving services
- Receive clinical supervision and adhere to CPD/professional registration requirements

**Main responsibilities will include**:

- Offer specialist assessment and evidence-based psychological/psychologically informed interventions
- To provide a high quality and responsive service to all individuals living with chronic pain
- Implement a range of specialist psychological therapies for individuals and groups, adjusting and refining psychological formulations as required
- Deliver evidence-based ‘Living Well with Pain’ group programmes (formerly Pain Management Programmes), alongside MDT colleagues
- Contribute to the evaluation and further development of the ‘Living Well with Pain’ programmes
- Undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and provide specialist advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and management
- Provide psychological consultation to the wider MDT, including regarding individuals accessing the ‘Medicines Optimisation’ Pathway
- Provide training to CPM and the wider psychology team, as required
- Engage collaboratively with colleagues in service evaluation, audit and research opportunities, aimed at improving services
- Receive clinical supervision and adhere to CPD/professional registration requirements
