WANTED: Visiting Housing Assistant
Temporary Position - 12 Weeks
Pay Rate: £19.07 PAYE (£23.63 Umbrella)
Working Week: 5 Days (Including Some Weekends and Evenings)
Core Hours: 8 am to 8 pm
We are currently seeking a Visiting Housing Assistant to join our Local Authority team for a temporary 12-week position. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our Visiting Social Housing programme and make a real impact on the lives of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Visiting Housing Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our housing management team to deliver a customer-focused, proactive, and high-quality neighbourhood management service. Your duties will include:
- Providing a responsive reception service for residents, addressing housing management inquiries, and guiding them to other relevant services.- Conducting routine office building checks and tests, recording essential data such as fire alarms and panic alarms in provided logs.- Processing payments via systems to ensure the seamless delivery of services.- Maintaining key performance indicator (KPI) and performance indicator (PI) data for the team.- Acting as a deputy for Housing Officers under supervision from the Housing Manager.**Duties**:
- Offering high-quality support to tenancy management teams in various aspects of housing management.- Assisting with estate inspections, tenancy audits, fire risk assessment progress, tenancy verification checks, anti-social behaviour management, shed management, and maintaining Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) for the team.- Providing a customer-focused reception service, ensuring most inquiries are resolved at the first point of contact or appropriately directed to other services and agencies.- Attending home visits, meetings, and events as required, even outside normal working hours.-
- Assisting in preparing for the sign-up of new tenants, ensuring sign-up packs contain all relevant information.- Using various databases and IT systems to retrieve and record information- Helping plan, coordinate, and record actions from a program of tenancy audits.- Assisting in introducing new tenants to their homes, conducting viewings, sign-ups, and providing support where required.-
- Collaborating cross-functionally to achieve targets and standards by working jointly with other service areas.- Supporting the management of notice boards, ensuring all information is up-to-date and relevant.- Processing reports of fly-tipping and abandoned vehicles in line with our policy.Submit your CV for immediate review.
