My client based in East Sussex is recruiting for a fantastic People Officer to join their friendly team. As People Officer you will manage a team of HR Administrators looking after their performance and development. In addition to this you will superviseand administer the timely, accurate, and efficient processing of HR transactions. As People Officer you will assist the HR Operations Manager with the development and delivery of an efficient and effective, quality driven and customer focused HR service, ensuringcompliance with legislation, policy, and best practice. You will also lead the development and implementation of HR systems and HR data reporting to optimise usage, drive efficiency, and inform strategic and operational decision making.

**What is the day to day of the role?**
- Supervise and administer the timely, accurate, and efficient processing of HR transactions.
- Advise on related HR policies and processes.
- Manage the provision of an efficient and customer focussed helpline and first line advisory service.
- Assist the People Operations Manager in ensuring the compliance of HR records.
- Develop the use of People systems, identifying and proposing new functionality / processes to optimise usage and drive efficiency.
- Produce regular and ad hoc reports to enable the verification of People data and compliance with statutory requirements (e.g. Right to Work) and internal processes/procedures (e.g. Facilities Time, Pay Awards). Produce ad hoc reports for key stakeholdersas required.

**Required skills and qualifications**:

- A CIPD qualification is not essential but desired
- You must have a background in HR ideally with 3 - 5 years experience providing HR advice and guidance at all levels
- You will be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
- Experience supervising a small team
- Experience working with complex HR and Payroll information systems
