Hours: Monday - Friday working between the hours of 8am-6pm Assist with cover during team absence.

**Your role and responsibilities**

Northwest Veterinary Specialists is a multi-discipline veterinary hospital with an opportunity for someone to join the Client Care team. To support the established finance team this key role’s purpose is to provide efficient administration of all insurance claims, respond to insurer and owner queries relating to the insurance claims.

Principle responsibilities
- Processing and submitting all insurance claims, via paper claims, online portal, and Vetenvoy claims via the Practice management system.
- Updating insurance tracker with information regarding claims
- Liaising with Veterinary surgeons to ensure that all reports and results are available at the time of processing the claim.
- Resolving insurance company queries, and client queries regarding claims.
- Contacting insurance companies for updates on submitted direct claims.
- Liaising with the credit controller to send off claims in a timely manner, to keep debt relating to the business to a minimum.

General responsibilities
- Accurately record and maintain the insurance tracker.
- Perform tasks relevant to the wider CCT eg answering the phones and dealing with client queries
- Covering annual leave/absences amongst team, providing cross functional support to the accounts team
- Working within GDPR guidelines
- Complete all Linnaeus mandatory training

Essential skills
- Excellent administration, organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly motivated to provide a gold standard service to clients.
- Ability to work at a fast-working pace under pressure.
- Professional approach to work
- Excellent IT skills - Microsoft (Outlook, Word & Excel)

Desirable skills
- Experience in a veterinary environment, reception, or administration
- Experience of account reconciliation.
