Activities Officer

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Fairways as an Activities Officer.
Fairways is a small friendly run, 27 bed residential care home. It is situated in Boscombe, Bournemouth.
**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Providing a range of activities to enhance and maintain the independence of clients.
- Organising and arranging group and individual activity programmes.
- Developing activities to meet care plan objectives and reflect clients’ needs.
- Actively supporting our clients to ensure a person-centred approach and individual choice.
- The ability to work flexibly during the week and alternate weekends.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong team player with a ‘can do’ attitude and flexible approach.
- Good IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Awareness of relevant legislation and knowledge of health and safety.
- Experience of leading and organising activities in a care environment is desirable.

This is a full time 37 hour post. Flexibility will be needed to cover weekend and bank holiday working.
