We are working towards Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) accreditation, and we are committed to building a successful service for the survivors of domestic abuse.

The Housing and Community Team at Canterbury City Council are looking for a Domestic Abuse Project Coordinator.

This is an influential role with the opportunity to work with a wide range of partners to ensure that the needs of domestic abuse survivors are reflected in wider corporate strategies and plans and that the Councils are meeting the new requirements of the Domestic Abuse Act.

**About this Domestic Abuse Project Coordinator job**:

- You will develop, lead and support the implementation of the nationally accredited Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance framework in Canterbury.
- You’ll review all Canterbury City Council Housing service areas against the DAHA accreditation framework.
- As our Domestic Abuse Project Coordinator, you will coordinate working groups and meet with key stakeholders and internal council officers to inform key policy changes and introduce interventions to support survivors.
- You will support and advise others in ensuring compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.

**Working pattern for our Domestic Abuse Project Coordinator**:

- Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
- 37 hours per week.
- A full week off over Christmas Plus 23 days of annual leave to use throughout the rest of the year.
- This is a fixed-term 18-month contract.

**About you, the ideal Domestic Abuse Project Coordinator**:
**Your knowledge**:

- You should have an in-depth understanding of the needs of Domestic Abuse Survivors.

**Your skills**:

- You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Your experience**:

- You will require previous project management experience.

**Your Qualifications**:

- You will either have a relevant A-Level, HND, or equivalent qualification.
- OR relevant extensive work-related experience that gives you an equivalent level of knowledge.
