Geismar UK ltd is a French owned UK subsidiary with in excess of 40 years experience selling, manufacturing and supplying equipment for maintenance and renewals on the railway infrastructure

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Office Administrator to join our team at Geismar UK Ltd, responsible for Supporting the Technical department on Daily tasks such as preparation of technical responses to tenders, preparation of technical and project documentation.

Assist with new and existing projects including production of detailed drawings, rapid prototyping products and creating supporting documentation.

As an integral part of the Geismar UK Ltd team your main duties & responsibilities will be:
1. Responsible for supporting the Project Engineers in all aspects of Technical administration.

2. Provide assistance in the day to day smooth functions of the Technical Office and projects.

3. Manage, update and maintain Bill of Material systems and databases for Geismar products

4. Liase with the Purchasing and Accounts departments to organise production planning and procurement of Geismar products.

5. Liase with customers answering queries relating to the development of Geismar products.

6. Oversee material planning of Geismar products.

7. Occasional stock take when needed

8. Generate Parts Books using CAD

9. Prepare project specific files ensuring compliance with QA audit procedures.

10. Identify and define improvements to the system as and when required.

11. Support the Technical Manager as and when requested

12. Maintenance and updating key stakeholders of Project Plans.

13. Any other adhoc duties which may be necessary from time to time.

**Essential Criteria**:
You will be a motivated individual able to work well within in a team.

To be able to meet deadlines, prioritise workloads and multi-task

**Desirable Criteria**:
Interest or previous experience in the rail industry.

Basic understanding of 3D CAD (preferably Inventor).

Understanding of technical drawings.

Understanding of Bills of Materials.

Keen interest in self-development.
