This is a rewarding voluntary role similar to that of a school governor. We are looking for someone who would like to join us in supporting the continued development of Oldershaw School as it embarks on its second century of providing high quality education to its local Wirral communities.

You will be an integral part of the Trust Board whose main functions are:
Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos, and strategic direction of the school
Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the effective and efficient performance management of staff
Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent

The role is strategic rather than operational. Trustees do not get involved with the day to day running of the school, instead supporting, and challenging the school's leadership team to drive school improvement.

- and long-term strategic vision and good, independent judgement as well as a willingness to speak their mind, understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship and an ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
