We are currently recruiting for a temporary Digital Communications Officer for a centrally based Oxford University Department, starting in March on a full-time basis for 12 weeks initially.

**Duties**:

- Develop and update online communications for the CCS clients, across all digital channels: website and social media.
- Manage the creation and maintenance of websites, ensuring they meet current UK accessibility regulations.
- Select and implement appropriate methods for evaluating activities on the client’s digital channels, analysing the results to inform future strategy.
- Identify and engage with a range of stakeholders and audiences, providing timely and relevant information to them as appropriate.
- Act as the channel specialist in digital communications for the team.
- Ensure that departmental communications follow the University guidelines on branding, and encourage others to use them.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive communications experience in digital and social media (including experience of working with a social media content scheduler like Hootsuite).
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment, balancing multiple clients or projects taking initiative when necessary and prioritising effectively to meet deadlines.
- Proven experience in creating and maintaining websites and knowledge of website accessibility regulations.
- Proven experience in producing effective web content.
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to communicate complex concepts to a non-specialist audience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and the ability to inspire the confidence of senior colleagues/ clients.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data
