This is a varied role, in which you will be a valued member of the team delivering University examinations. There will be a particular focus on supporting the delivery of the University’s computer-based exams. These take place in-person and use the e-assessment platform 'Inspera'.

In the process, the role presents an opportunity to gain experience in key areas of exam administration, interact with staff and students from across the University, and learn more about current innovations in assessment.

**Key tasks**:

- Prepare invigilation packs for the central and college exam venues. This will include a focus on printing the additional materials from Inspera needed for computer-based sittings, but support may also be required for paper-based exams.
- Monitor the checking out and in of Chromebooks being used for college sittings.
- Usher students to and from their examinations.
- Support an Exam Supervisor or Exam Manager as they deliver digital support within the examination room, as required.
- Support an Exam Supervisor or Exam Manager as they run mock examinations and orientation sessions, particularly for computer-based exams, as required.
- You may be asked to contribute to the creation of practice tests in Inspera, in liaison with departments.
- You may be asked to contribute to the checking of department's exam 'papers' in Inspera (referred to as 'question sets').

**Essential**
- Excellent attention to detail, even if working to tight deadlines or under pressure
- Strong IT skills, with a propensity to learn and use digital tools in a relatively short period of time
- Ability to communicate with staff and students clearly and with empathy when required
- Good team working skills
- The ability to work independently, but with an awareness of when to escalate issues

**_TSS workers accrue holiday pay that is equivalent to 38 days per year, this means you accrue a whopping 17.1% in holiday pay for the hours that you work for us._**
