Job purpose:
This role reports into the Compliance Manager and requires an individual to work alongside the brands within Barbon to assist with the production of reporting ensuring all data is collected, processed and presented in an accessible and simplified way for specific groups and stakeholders. The role will:

- Collect and analyse data to develop insights and recommendations for business decisions, supporting Barbon with delivery of strategic initiatives to aid the business to grow and succeed in a compliant way, and helps achieve the right balance between risk taking and control.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance and regulatory metrics and identify trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and requirements for reporting and analysis.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting.
- Ensure the implementation of advice and guidance from 2LoD.
- Ensure the business operates in line with Group policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with Barbon to drive delivery of activity that supports the business objectives, whilst ensuring adherence to regulation.
- Work with 2LoD to ensure advice and guidance is interpreted and implemented in line with Barbon’s risk appetite.
- Collate and analyze data from a variety of operational procedures, highlighting both benefits and improvements and proposing change necessary for greater outcomes to both the customer and the business.
- Feed relevant information into key stakeholders for all compliance and governance forums - responsible for data collation and report production for monthly, quarterly and regulatory reports.
- Support and assist in adhering to the demands of the Pricing Practices regulation and the production of numerous reports evidencing and ensuring ‘fair pricing’ for our customers.
- Develops ad-hoc reports as requested by user groups or stakeholders, performs analysis on data as required.
- Ensure regulatory reporting is completed, accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
- Regularly audits data to uncover data integrity issues and/or opportunities for process improvement and performs manual or automated data entry/data clean-up as required
- Develops and maintains naming conventions of picklists, report folders, dashboards, etc. to improve system usability.
- Develop understanding of the Business data in order to follow trends and identify root cause of data movements.
- Timely escalation of issues to the Compliance Manager.
- Ensure Barbon’s controls are effective and take action to improve/close gaps where necessary.
- Sign off financial promotions within the remit of 1LoD.
- Support Barbon with the creation of compliant customer documentation, undertake regular reviews of approved material and ensure regulator changes are implemented.
- Support and where appropriate own the management of breaches and E&O’s and resolution focussing on root cause and control effectiveness.

Degree

Relevant financial services, insurance or compliance qualifications

**Experience**

Minimum of 2 years experience working in either a risk & compliance or regulatory reporting role, within the general insurance industry

Experience of private rental sector.

**Knowledge**

Understanding of the FCA handbook including but not limited to:

- ICOBS
- PROD
- DISP
- SYSC

Distribution models - AR/IAR/IO/PIP

Experience of;
Consumer Duty

Financial Promotions sign off

Breach & E&O management

Regulatory relationships

Pricing Practices

Commercial Insurances

Good knowledge of the Insurance Distribution Directive
