**Job Title**: Security System Administrator

**Location**: DY1 2HQ

**Accountable to**: Mitie Security

**Line Manager**: Security and Car Park Manager

**Key Relationships**: Mitie Managers, Supervisors, and internal and external customers.

**Hours of Work**: This is a part time temporary post with possibility to full time. The post holder may be required to be flexible to meet business demands.

**Hourly rate**:£12.48

**Job Purpose**: To manage security systems whilst dealing directly with client's queries and requests for support. To protect the contract and manage assets under the control of MITIE Security whilst supporting MITIE Communities and their client with information.
- **Managerial**
- To support the Security Operations Manager in ensuring that the Security Department does not breech its contract threshold.
- Working in partnership with the clients, Trust, and other external organisation such as Local enforcement agencies, prosecution service etc.
- Manage the validity of anyone entering the security office and escalate.
- To manage the Hospital (Project Co and Trust) security systems escalating any MITIE issues that has the potential to compromising security, safe and access across the hospital.
- To function as safety hero assisting with implementation of the company health and safety scheme; to drive down near misses and accidents across the site.
- Controls access to facilities through the management of physical security systems including badging, access control and other specialist security equipment.
- Responsible for the training of security access control system for authorised employees. This includes knowledge of the hardware and software of the badging system.
- Assists with processes and procedures to establish access control badges/ID cards relating to for new employees, doctors and visitors requiring authorisation.
- To daily prepare and maintains detailed records pertaining to control of sensitive information, safes, keys, and personnel access.
- **Policy and Service Development**
- To support with the development and implementation of MITIE and Trust security policy and procedures.
- To provide support and direction to staff on security related MITIE issues.
- To advise and support management in the interpretation of security related polices influencing the decision making relating to security.
- **Information / Data Responsibilities**
- Support with the development and completion of the Monthly Manager Report.
- Ensure reports are scrutinised prior to sending to the trust daily, monthly, or quarterly to meet policy deadlines.
- Weekly collate data to analyse to ensure Access control system is working effectively and managed appropriately to meet MITIE contractual obligations.
- Analyses reports and other related incidents and trends and provide updated and statistical data to the Security and Car Park Manager.
- Support with the maintenance and full completion of all security files and records with the security office and control room.
- Performs miscellaneous administrative and clerical duties as when required by the Security Manager and Supervisor Team.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by a member of the Mitie Management team.
