**Job Title**: Payroll Administrator

**Responsible to**:Finance Manager

**Full time**:37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm with an hour for lunch

**Salary**:£26,000 p/a

**Location**:Pontypridd

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, hardworking Payroll Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible primarily for assisting with the smooth running of the payroll process by ensuring timely processing of timesheets, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately and in line with government regulations, as well as other AD-HOC administrative and HR duties.

Due to the nature of the work involved, the job holder must be organised and a good team player.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure accurate and timing processing of payroll - wages, benefits, bonuses, taxes
- Verify payroll data for accuracy and compliance
- Communicate effectively with staff ensuring payroll processing deadlines are met
- Dealing with payroll queries regarding missing/incorrect payments
- Dealing with PAYE queries
- Manage and maintain payroll systems and software
- Ensure all the payroll changes, payments to members and HMRC payments are completed in a timely manner on a weekly/monthly basis;
- Be responsible for running P45 and P60 certificates when required and filing information on line (FPS, EPS etc) to HMRC before the due date;
- Manage input records, set up starters, process leavers etc.
- Work closely with the Administration teams and the wider Finance team;
- Take ownership of the payroll from start to finish and be the first point of contact for all queries.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports for management and audit purposes

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in Payroll
- Experience in construction industry would be beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience using Pegasus/Xero payroll would be beneficial

**Abilities/Skills/Knowledge**:

- Able to demonstrate high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels across several departments
- Working knowledge of Excel

**Salary: £26K**

Pay: £26,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
