**WHO WE ARE**

Titan Publishing Group is the UK’s leading producer of all things Sci-Fi, generating cinema and television tie-in publications (books, comics and magazines), and merchandise.

**PURPOSE OF ROLE**

The main purpose of your role will be acquiring fiction books for and preparing licensed fiction for publication.

**WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**

We’re looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic individual to join our busy fiction division.

**An overview**:

- Overseeing projects across Titan Book’s licensed fiction schedule
- Act as lead contact for licensed projects, including working directly with high-level stakeholders to ensure expectations are met, to solicit approval and to keep books on schedule.
- Sourcing licensed authors, including negotiations with literary agents, and supporting them through licensor approval processes
- Structural editing, line editing, copy editing and proofreading
- Pitching authors at departmental meetings, including costings and financial projections
- Schedule management, from acquisition handover through desk editorial to pre-press
- Preparing book files for production and print
- Collating proofs and producing flat plans
- Cover briefing, working with licensors to acquire artwork assets, writing cover copy and Tis
- Creating and checking new title information and metadata

You will work closely with internal departments such as Sales, Marketing, Contracts, Rights, Production, and Design, and help ensure projects keep to schedule.
