An opportunity has arisen for a Tobacco Support Services Officer within the Quit Your Way Smoking & Cessation Service to support the development of creative and innovative tobacco prevention and cessation activities within Ayrshire & Arran. Including supporting Tobacco Prevention/Cessation Officers and Programme Leads.

This includes providing 1-2-1 support to clients wishing support to stop smoking and planning, co-ordinating and designing resources, advertising, promotion and marketing of the Quit Your Way service.

The post holder will support the delivery of smoking prevention and cessation services across Ayrshire & Arran through working with a wide range of NHS, Local Authority and Voluntary Sector staff as well as external agencies to do with marketing the Quit Your Way service to support the development of creative and innovative tobacco prevention and cessation activities within Ayrshire & Arran.

Client Groups will be the Ayrshire & Arran population, Health & Social Care Partnerships, GP Practices, and Partnership Groups.

Link with the Tobacco Prevention/Cessation Officers in the Community, Schools and Colleges, Hospitals, Workplace and Prison.

Qualification/Training: Educated to HNC/HND Level or possess equivalent experience.

The post will be based at Lister Street, Crosshouse Hospital

The post holder requires their own car and a full driving licence.

37.5 hours per week - Fixed Term until 30/03/2023
