**Head of Service Sales**

Bender UK is part of the Bender Group, a global, family run company with a leading reputation for innovation in the design and manufacture of electrical safety products.

Due to rapid growth over the past few years, we currently have an exciting vacancy for a newly created role as Head of Service Sales.

The ultimate objective of this role is to drive profitable sales to enable Bender UK to achieve its business objectives. This will be achieved through focussing on 4 key areas:
**Service Sales**

The Head of Service Sales will support the development of annual business plan objectives with regard the Service Sales Division and deliver sales and profit margin goals for the Service Sales Division.

They will ensure target retention rates for contract renewals are achieved and target success rates for tenders are met, whilst providing accurate sales forecasting and having an understanding of future resource demand requirements. Providing key analytics and reporting to the wider business is also an important aspect, such as Top 10 customers, “Must-Win” sites, closed/won and closed/lost figures.

**New Business Development**

This will involve identifying new business opportunities and developing the sales funnel ensuring growth through new business and supporting Service Sales Account Managers, Commercial Coordinators and other Sales Team members internally and outside of the business with the development of more complex quotations ensuring customer needs are met and that Bender UK achieves its profit margin targets.

**Renewals & Tenders**

The postholder will be responsible for overseeing the timely production and distribution of accurate service contract renewal offers to our customers.

Ensuring customers are contacted prior to renewal to discuss requirements, establish if there is any additional equipment and upselling any additional services as a result. It will also involve negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors to improve pricing and terms of business and effectively managing sales and margins to achieve/exceed contract profitability.
It is likely there will be the requirement to attend contract review meetings with Service Account Managers to sustain strong relationships, ensure the contract is being implemented and managed effectively by the Service Account Manager to retain business, and also oversee preparation and submission of tender proposals in accordance with the tender specification/deadlines, attending site surveys with Service Account Managers where necessary.

**Management**

To be successful in this role you will be able to lead and develop a high performing team through clear communication and articulation of the business goals, being visible and accessible. Provide performance feedback, coaching and mentoring to manage talent management and ensure each member of the team has a personal development plan and has access to appropriate training on both a team and individual level to optimise performance and commitment.

**Person Profile**

The role involves regular communication with customers within the NHS and private hospitals including facilities management companies. The position will be in constant communication with not only their own team but also the project team, field-based engineers and the service team as well as external suppliers, therefore strong communication and collaborative skills are essential. Commercial acumen in this role is a must, as well as highly tuned time management and planning skills.

**Profile**:
We are looking for someone who is confident, courteous and professional who can demonstrate dedication to their stakeholders both internally and externally, possesses excellent time management skills and has the drive and desire to succeed.

You should be reliable and flexible - being prepared to travel within the UK as some of the team members you will lead are field-based, so you should hold a full, clean drivers’ licence.

A company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop and i-Pad will be provided to enable you to do your job.

The role is a hybrid position and is expected that you will be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week once fully trained.
