Role Purpose

All LeasePlan leasing and non-leasing entities and LeasePlan Corp must have a process in place that ensures the identification, analysis, and reporting of non-financial risk incidents by the 1st Line. The purpose is to learn from these events, improve processes and controls and prevent incidents in the future. This role has a salary starting at £40,000.- The 1st Line is owner of business and direct support processes and as such, is also owner of the associated risks and controls embedded in them. For this reason, the 1st Line is responsible for ensuring that these risks are properly managed within the risk appetite of LeasePlan.- Coordinate with 1st line Risk Manager & process owners to ensure that LeasePlan’s processes are executed and controlled and in accordance with the responsibilities of the 1st line as defined in the Non-financial Risk Management Policy- Promote best practice in business process management and continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Coordination & support of 1st line activities across LeasePlan’s process owners, process controllers and process operators that enable process owners to meet the requirements of the Non-financial Risk Policy and associated documents as defined below:
- Day-to-day management of risks and/or taking risk decisions- Adhering to Non-Financial Risk Management Policies and Standards- Identifying, assessing and responding to the risks they own through the Risk Control Self-Assessment structure.- Identifying and analysing non-financial risk incidents and issues- Defining actions/design of controls to mitigate the exposure to non-financial risks in their processes- Testing adequate design and effectiveness of the controls they own- Registering the results of executing the above practices for managing non-financial risks in the LeasePlan GRC tool, with the appropriate data quality according to NFRM Standards and related guidance documents.

Required skills and experience- University degree, academic level required, preferably Beta / economic direction- Competent knowledge of Process Management- Knowledge of 1st Line risk management- Knowledge of control design and testing for effectiveness- Excellent organisational skills- Able to effectively communicate clearly at all levels, via a range of verbal and written communication channels- LEAN Orange or Green Belt preferrable- Able to effectively coach, train and develop process owners and operators and others to enhance their competence- Experience working in organization’s operating a complex process structure- Experience in working in a highly regulated environment- Experience working in an organization operating to ISO standards- Knowledge of LEAN, MBO, Management Systems used to ensure process effectiveness and efficiency
